The College
Welcome to the home of the Xian Tian College of Chinese Medicine. Originally set up in the South of the UK, Xian Tian was established by Damo Mitchell and Rob Aspell to teach the a full syllabus of Chinese medicine. The college now provides training courses in a number of disciplines such as Acupuncture, Tui Na Massage, Chinese Herbal Medicine, and Qi Gong. We pride ourselves on bridging the gap between Eastern and Western medicine and understanding, and inspiring students to become enthusiastic, passionate, and fully confident practitioners of whatever therapy they choose. Our courses are provided via a mix of online and practical lessons to ensure that students have a deep grasp of Chinese medical theory as well as a high level of practical skills.
Online Programs
Foundations, Diagnosis, and Practice of Chinese Medicine (online)
The Xian Tian College of Chinese Medicine teaches its subjects in a modular fashion. College students all initially study the Online Theoretical Module, which you can find out about by clicking the link below. This initial Online module takes the form of weekly classes which average between 60-90 minutes in length. Each of these classes looks at an aspect of Chinese medical theory that can then be discussed with experienced tutors within our Online Discussion Group. Once this initial module is successfully completed, students may then continue with practical in-person classes in Chinese medical skills, such as Acupuncture and Tui Na, alongside weekly online lectures in Diagnostics and the Practice of Chinese Medicine.
Our Diploma Courses
Our diploma courses involve a combination of online learning, in person learning, and self directed study. Please note that all of our diploma courses require you to have completed the Year 1 of the Foundations and Diagnosis course online, or have proof of prior learning.

REdefining the art of Medicine
Damo Mitchell studied various systems of Chinese medical practice including the contemporary TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine), CCM (Classical Chinese Medicine, which is largely based upon time, astrology and its connection to human health) and Nei Gong Medicine. Nei Gong medicine is an internal system of healthcare based upon the cultivation-skill of the practitioner and the ability to emit and control Qi at will. These systems, combined with extensive study of Daoism and its alchemical methods, have shaped Damo’s personal practice into a unique form of Chinese medical practice which he now shares through the Xian Tian College of Chinese Medicine.
